The Beginnings

Julie has been a practicing Registered Holistic Nutritionist since 2003. In 2007, she founded The Kettlebell Club in Bradford where she combines her nutrition knowledge with her experience as a Level 2 SFG Kettlebell Instructor, Level 2 Agatsu Kettlebell Instructor, Yoga Instructor, and Personal Trainer, to assist individuals establish consistent exercise and nutrition habits that increase energy, decrease body fat, improve overall health and strengthen and tone their bodies.

In addition to teaching all the kettlebell classes (previously at her studio and now virtually), Julie has spoken as a guest lecturer on a variety of nutrition topics and taught for several years at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Julie enjoys combining her kettlebell training with yoga and running and has completed several 5K, 10K, half and full marathon runs. She has finished in the top 3 of her age category in both the 5K and half marathon distances, and in April 2016, she fulfilled a 10-year dream by running the Boston Marathon.

Over The Years

Julie has assisted many recreational and high-level athletes achieve their goals, including runners, cyclists, triathletes, martial artists, dancers, hockey players, soccer players, body builders, power lifters, arm wrestlers, bowlers, walkers, golfers and mountain climbers.

The majority of her clientele are busy moms who desire to stay fit, active and healthy despite their busy lives and demanding schedules that leave little time for them to focus on themselves. Julie believes consistency combined with passion is the key to success and strives to instil these values in all the individuals she works with, through positive encouragement, to help them be the best they choose to be.
